More reasons to celebrate

Our school made the top 400 of more than 12,000 primary schools in the country, according to the Daily Telegraph league tables which highlights the top 1,000 performing schools in reading writing and maths, based on government figures.

The Department for Education has measured how much progress primary school children have made alongside how many have met the national standard for reading, writing and maths.

Our school attained a placing of 386 in the Telegraph tables and the news has been cause of extra celebrations in the run-up to Christmas.

"We are absolutely delighted with the news and with more than 12,000 primary schools around the country, to come in at number 386 is fantastic," said headteacher Scott Maclean.

"Everyone at Cuddington Croft Primary School works hard and it is good to have the huge amount of effort put in by the whole team recognised in this way," he added.

The school, a member of the GLF Schools multi-academy trust, is above average in terms of reading, writing and maths and also above average for the number of children achieving a higher standard of reading, writing and maths (26% against a national average of 9%).
