Year 6 Junior Citizen

Our Year 6 children went to Junior Citizen. This is a great opportunity to equip them on how to stay safe and keep safe in different situations. Year 6 wrote letters to thank Junior Citizen for such an informative event. Below, you will find a recount from one of our school news reporters on behalf of Year 6.

A few weeks ago, Year Six attended the important Junior Citizenship experience, where we learnt vital lessons about living safely and happily as we grow into adults. These lessons will undoubtedly, be invaluable to us in later life as we grow and develop.

To many of us, the most informative and helpful session was with the fire brigade, who gave us vital information about keeping safe in the event of a fire. Much of this  has since been discussed with our parents, ensuring households safety in the unfortunate event of a fire.

We also spoke to the police, who offered key advice on dealing with crime as well as the important lesson of how to stay safe online and avoid sharing personal information. The other important lessons we learnt were with the railway services, water safety services and drug safety.

Overall, the key information and safety advice given on the trip will be indispensable as we grow and leave Cuddington, helping us prosper and succeed in the larger world. We couldn’t be more thankful for the opportunities this trip has given us and all the information it has provided.
