Year 1's first trip to the London Wetland Centre
Year 1 had an amazing time on their trip to the London Wetland Centre! They explored the wetlands, spotting different types of plants on the way and even got a chance to play in the adventure playground! They displayed Cuddington’s 6Cs in abundance, especially Cooperative as they worked in teams to identify different plants based on their leaves.
We enjoyed our lesson learning about the parts of a plant and their features. We were able to apply our knolwedge to help us complete our workbooks and plant hunts. When asked about her time at the centre, a child from Donaldson class enthusiastically said, “The wetland was so much fun! My favourite thing to do was wild walk and balancing on the wobbly bridge."
We were very lucky to see the otters being fed befire we left and we learnt some interesting facts about them. Did you know that Asian small-clawed otters eat fish?
Overall, Year 1 loved their trip to the Wetland Centre and are already looking forward to our Summer term trip!
