4️⃣Year 4 had a brilliant time investigating fractions today. They created colourful fraction walls and even used paper pizzas to test how the number of slices changes the size of each piece. All this practical fun is preparing us for comparing fractions with different denominators in our next maths lesson.

2️⃣Year 2 had a wonderful day celebrating Sir David Attenborough's birthday! We went on an animal scavenger hunt, wrote letters to Sir David, played animal headbands and created freeze frames depicting various habitats across the world. We learned so much about nature and the life of Sir David Attenborough. 🐢 Happy Birthday Sir David Attenborough🎂

🌟Who said revision had to be boring?! Year 6 enjoyed completing a scavenger to find and answer questions linking to their SPaG and maths learning. They also enjoyed a word class race: they had to listen to the word called out and run to its correct word class to get points for their team! We are incredibly proud of the Year 6 children for their hard work and efforts. They should be equally proud of themselves and they are so ready to go and smash their SATs tests next week! 🌟

5️⃣ Our Year 5 children have been incredibly creative in school! Space has been our theme, making fantastic papier-mâché planets and delivering our own space presentations to one another. We also explored mixed media while creating beautiful spring-themed artwork. To finish the week on a high, we enjoyed board games and made our very own fruit salads – yum! 🍓🍊🚀

We were delighted to receive a generous donation of bird boxes so our Eco Leaders teamed up with Mr Craughwell to explore the school grounds and find the perfect places to install them. We also have a bat box and some bird feeders to put up to help support local wildlife. We’ll share any sightings of feathered visitors—and maybe even a few bats! 🐦🦇🌿
